This 1951 Ford COE Stakebed Truck is the first 3D resin printed vehicle kit to be released by CMD. designed from official drawings of the real truck. The COE came in three different chassis lengths, this version is the longest wheelbase (158″). You’ll notice that the stake bed is made of wood, while this is harder to assemble relative to a plastic or 3D printed construction, the result is much more realistic. As you might imagine, there is a bit of hand or spray painting. You can paint the truck with acrylics or enamels since the 3D resin printed parts are not adversely affected by enamel paints.

3D resin printed items like our detail parts and vehicles, all require some amount of clean up. While we removed most of the support material, the final finish needs to be done by the modeler.  It’s an easy process and only takes a few minutes to get a stunning result.
